Antoinette from Explorations Africa planned and orchestrated an amazing, unforgettable bucket list vacation in Africa for us! The camps she selected all provided a different experience with a variety of environments, animals and cultures. We travelled to remote camps which were not overpopulated with tourists. They were all very welcoming, safe and very comfortable. The hospitality could not be matched and the staff, friendly and accommodating. The meals offered variety, were delicious and were carefully prepared by professional chefs. From the moment we landed, drivers were waiting for us, delivering us to the next point, often stopping for photo ops when animals were spotted. There had to be a lot of planning and confirming going on behind the scenes. All transfers were executed with precision without us having to worry about a thing. The guides were experienced, knowledgeable, very professional and had great respect for wildlife.
We saw a great variety of animals, taking our breath away at every turn! We were left with jaw-dropping amazement and pinch-me moments. The guides seemed to know how close they could get without scaring the animals away. They often positioned the vehicle with best light in mind for photography. Many of our photos have more than one species in one frame.
We spent a few days in Victoria Falls. The falls did not disappoint and the accommodations were outstanding! We also visited a few villages where we learned more about the local culture. We met with the Headman at one village who showed us around and enlightened us about the social challenges of the area and how some of the safari companies help the locals through tourism and education. These visits were life changing for us!
Thank you Antoinette for delivering an unforgettable trip of a lifetime! This trip certainly exceeded all our expectations!
You can leave Africa, but Africa doesn’t leave you!

I am lost for words to describe how amazing our first trip to Africa was, to the point I said to Antoinette we have an issue with Carol she has lost the use of her vocabulary, all she can say is “WOW”.
Where do we start, from the planning of our trip and flights. It was so very very refreshing to work with Antoinette and Sheri, so very responsive to our questions true attention to our requirements, continually following up to make sure everything was OK.
How does Antoinette do it? I have no idea, I can only say she managed to plan such a perfect trip that was beyond our wildest dreams.
What was the best part of our trip? The wildlife, the accommodation, the guides, every person we came into contact with, nothing was too much trouble, the food was beyond wonderful.
Every time it was time to move to our next location we did not want to leave, however the next location out did the previous location.
The only downside was it had to come to an end, and we had to come home.
Looking forward to planning our next trip with You.
    Thank you for everything.

Hi Antoinette, I’ve been meaning to drop you an email to tell you how much we enjoyed our safaris. The camps were wonderful, everything was just so great; the food, the drinks, the staff, the guides, the accommodation, and of course the animals and experiences we had were top notch! Better than anything we could have expected. It surpassed what we thought we would experience!

We were also amazed by the organization of all the flights, transfers, bush-plane flights, luggage storage, etc etc. It was so smooth and seamless there was nothing that went wrong with any of the arrangements. All those moving pieces but it all ran so smooth – I don’t know how you did it, but good on you, excellent job!

The hotel in Cape Town was so fancy and nice. We did get out to Table Mountain and the Franschhoek wine country. That day was very enjoyable. We had sometime to explore the V&A waterfront in Cape Town, it was a nice area. We had an absolutely first rate hotel and staff to look after us, which they did with great care.
