We had our first conversation with Antoinette, and we are so impressed with all the information that she has given us. We are looking forward to working with her!

We had our first conversation with Antoinette to discuss our future trip to Africa. She told us so many things that I think its now going to be hard to decide what to do. But, I think Antoinette understands what we want, we are excited to see what she plans and more excited for out trip later this year!

Antoinette has been amazing to work with to plan our upcoming safari. She is extremely knowledgeable and is doing everything she can to tailor the trip to our individual needs.

we have travelled with them before, then with Antoinette and husband Dan with us. This time we are going without them, and had a great pretrip meeting with Antoinette and asst Gwyn , which put our minds at ease over all the last minute document requirements demanded by the governments in Kenya and Tanzania ,..now lets hope the trip goes off without a hitch!

From our first meeting with Dan and Antoinette from Explorations Africa we felt we had found the right travel agents for us. They focused on what we wanted to see, do and experience verses trying to sell us a package safari. Based on what they learned from our meeting they provided us with a couple highly customized tour options, which we worked with them to fine tune into a personalized “bucket list” African adventure. Even when Covid pushed us to defer our 6 week tour by a year Antoinette was able to secure our exact tour one year later.

They provided incredibly useful pre-trip planning information such as a packing list, recommended reading, safari etiquette, various podcasts, tip sheets and tour summary documents. The tip sheet was great because it helped us ensure we had the right cash and denominations before leaving Canada for tips to guides, drivers and camp staff because in countries like Zimbabwe cash is hard to acquire. In addition to the pre-trip info they launched a new app called Vamoos that we used frequently during our travel for detailed daily information such as flights, vouchers, maps, weather and other important documents. The app was also useful to add daily posts with photos to develop a record of our travel and the messaging app was a quick means to connect with Antoinette. During our travel Antoinette was quick to respond to any questions day or night. I think she slept with her phone!

Upon returning home and reflecting on our incredible adventure, we could not have imagined how amazing all the landscapes, wildlife big and small, sunsets, cultural experiences, accommodations, guides, drivers, camp or hotel staff would be.
